Tue. & Thu. 8 am On Savannah Soundings with Wayne Waters. This weekend is the Savannah Earth Day Festival in Forsyth Park! We’ll get a preview of the festival and also take note of the ongoing conservation efforts of the City of Savannah’s Office of Sustainability talking to our guests: Nick Deffley, Sustainability Director, City of Savannah & Joanne Morton, coordinator of the Earth Day Festival on April 21, 11am – 4 pm.

Each year in the spring, Forsyth Park at the heart of the historic district becomes the nucleus of the city’s green initiatives. It is a celebration of environmentally responsible living and business in coastal Georgia. The Savannah Earth Day Festival serves as an important opportunity for local government, businesses, non-profits, and community groups to connect with the public and each other. It is the City’s largest environmental outreach event of the year and the largest educational Earth Day event in the state of Georgia.
