Tommy Griffin with the local chapter of Veterans for Peace will join Wayne in the studio to talk about next week’s DISARM TRIDENT: Savannah to Kings Bay Peace Walk. The event, organized by Voices for Creative Nonviolence and Kings Bay Plowshares, will begin in Savannah on
September 3 for a gathering at Forsyth Park and participants will begin the walk on
September 4. Veterans for Peace supports this effort to draw attention to the dangers inherent in the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, home to Trident submarines with ballistic missile armed with nuclear warheads and to a nuclear weapons storage bunker.
