Host: Wayne Waters
Guest: Nick Palumbo, presumptive alderman for District 4.
I kicked off Savannah Lexicon’s post-qualifying official election coverage with Mayor DeLoach on Tuesday. Thursday’s show will be a replay of an early March show I did with Nick Palumbo, who had already announced his intention to run for City Council District 4 alderman. Presumably, he has the city council spot locked up as no challenger for the position ever came forward.
Nick nicely lays out his primary interests and goals in the recording. Listening to a good city council candidate, whether in your district or not, can certainly be informative for all city residents. They offer a comparative baseline for citywide issues and may express ideas that would be of value in your district. It’s a city council, y’all, not just a district council – It’s the whole of the city, not just a part. It’s everybody in the city, hopefully with no one left out of consideration.
