Sat. 5 pm. This week we start with one of Adam Hurst’s moody cello pieces. We have some new names with new recordings too – Gary Schmidt and Monica Williams. We also have the terrific guitarist Yamandu Costa, Stan Getz, and a softer tune from the soundscape/guitar duo of Bella Sonus. And P. T. Bridgeport will report on what disturbed his Wa this week. 1013/2018
Thu. 8 am. Wayne continues his October election coverage with a candid conversation with Craig Gordon, who represents Georgia’s House of Representatives District 163. District 163 covers much of Savannah, including much of the Landmark Historic District, much of the southside, and a considerable bit of the east and west sides of the city. Rep. Gordon is unopposed in the Nov. 6 election, a fact that will likely allow him to be more candid in his assessment of the upcoming election than would otherwise be the case. 10/11/2018
Wed. 3 pm. THIS WEEK on Art on the Air, we’ll have Meredith Gray in studio to chat about her upcoming exhibition “South By Southwest” at Hospice Savannah Art Gallery! We’re in love with Meredith’s photographic work, and we can’t wait to get the inside scoop on this exciting show. Plus we grabbed a Field Note with Erin Johnson talking about her project currently on view at the Jepson Center! 10/10/2018
Sun. 9 am. The unifying themes of this program are justice, love, learning and hope. The messages come from sermons and readings from Unitarian-Universalist sources. The program title comes from a beloved Unitarian-Universalist hymn, “Spirit of Life,” which includes the words, “Sing in my heart all the stirrings of compassion” and “Move in the hand, giving life the shape of justice.” 10/07/2018
Fri. 11 am. This week, P.T. Bridgeport sits in for Brian Renner and plays music from the movies – the sounds that set the stage. Selections come from Lord of The Rings, O Brother, Where Art Thou, Pearl Harbor, The Cashier, and Fast Times At Ridgemont High, among others. From comedies to horror films, music enhances the images. Join us. 10/05/2018

Wed. 9 pm. This week on Savannah Music Local and Sustainable is Ashesh Dangol – if you can believe it a blues player from Nepal. I was introduced to him at the September’s Savannah Songwriters Series concert hosted by Tom Cooler. This is a must hear show as he is amazing player and interesting as well. 10/03/2018
