We will also be talking in depth about two of her works “Fantasy for Saxophones” and “Suite for Sarro”. Later in the show we will feature music by other New York City composers including Ed Windels, Harry Stafylakis, Debra Kaye and David Mecionis. Tue. 9 pm ET- As part of Drum Week on WRUU, Contemporary Classics will be featuring contemporary percussion music played by contemporary percussion performers and ensembles including Sarah Hennies’ “Psalm 3” performed by Ben Reimer; John Luther Adams’ “Ilimaq” performed by Glenn Kotche & John Luther Adams; Evan Chapman’s Buttonwood performed by Korry Friend; Adam Basanta’s The Privacy of Domestic Life performed by Architek Percussion; Nicole Lizee’s Ringer performed by Ben Reimer; and Glenn Kotche’s Drumkit Quartet No. 6 performed by So Percussion.
