Sat. 5 pm. ETThis week, Carol Cole comes to chat with P.T. Carol is a home-grown artist of considerable talent and skill. In music, we have Greg Reiter with some Latin-flavored guitar. P. T. shakes his head and wonders about the old people today on his Soapbox. 01/19/2019
Sat. 5 pm. ET – Here it is, five days into the new year, and P.T. already has muddy footprints all over it. We start with Eumir Deodato’s take on Richard Strauss’s Also Sprach Zarathrustra. Then comes an oldie from Judy Collins, a solo piano piece from Jon Schmidt of the Piano Guys, a cut from the movie A River Runs Through It and much else. The path from Richard Strauss to Eumir Deodato meanders just a bit. Strauss originally wrote the music inspired by the book of the same name by Fredrich Nietzsche. And …..01/05/2018
Sat. 5 pm. ET -Opa Tsupa, who normally reside in France, take us to Bucharest to start the show. The city is well-beloved of gypsy musicians, though it might be a little nippy in the wintertime. I also have a cut from Art Garfunkel’s first solo album, and the Piano Guys, and ……12/29/2018
Sat. 5 pm.ET – This week, we’ll sprinkle Stewarts around in preparation for Christmas. Xibalba is the Mayan underworld – if you don’t speak Mayan, literally, The Place of Fear. Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet did a beautiful interpretation for the film, The Fountain. There were lots of different opinions about the film, but the music was put up for several awards. We will also have Walk Off The Earth with an old hippie tune, Jacob Gurevitsch contemplating a female Da Vinci, Ryan Stewart, and a jazz group called The Quintet. 12/22/2018

Sat. 5 pm. Not many people have heard of Yiruma – he plays sweet, plaintive solo piano and is much better known in other parts of the world than here. We have one of his signature pieces this time. We also have Max Richter’s orchestral reflection on the Kosovo conflict, some of the later work of Ramsey Lewis, and some jazz based on the movie Black Orpheus. There’s a string quartet that has made its name outside of the classical realm, and some Kevin Kern too. This and much more, plus P.T.’s grumpy week. 11/17/2018
Sat. 5 pm. Clifford Brown was a phenomenal bop trumpeter and composer who died in a car accident at age 25. His bandmate Bennie Golson wrote a tune called “I Remember Clifford” which became a jazz standard, and the show will start with the Modern Jazz Quartet’s version. John Lewis’s piano and Milt Jackson’s vibraphone blend and riff seamlessly. After that we’ve got …….11/03/2018

Sat. 5 pm. This week, P. T. Bridgeport is MIA … or, well, he’s off on an adventure and couldn’t bring the studio in tow. Sitting in his chair is Leigh E. Rich of Listening to Literature, with an hour of music and musings on the topic of “collaboration.” There’ll be some obvious selections and some not-so … from The Beatles to Buckley, Glass Tiger and Woody Guthrie, Elvis Costello and Natalie Cole.10/20/2018
