Tue. & Thu. 8 am. On Savannah Lexicon. As we get close to Earth Day, Wayne Waters and guest Alice Keyes, Vice President of Coastal Conservation for One Hundred Miles talk about major environmental threats to Coastal Georgia.
Alice Keyes:
Vice President of Coastal Conservation. Alice grew up in the town of Ruston in north central Louisiana. She gained an appreciation and passion for the natural environment while climbing trees, fishing, and exploring the outdoors in the piney woods of her hometown. Alice attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology. She also received a Master’s degree in Conservation Ecology and Sustainable Development from the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia.
Before joining One Hundred Miles, Alice served as a program officer for the R. Howard Dobbs, Jr. Foundation. Her career has largely focused on water issues – working as a policy advisor to the Director of the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division and Director of Water Resource Programs at the Georgia Conservancy.
